NO. 121 EAST 17TH STREET This is a former carriage house erected for J.O. Ward, who lived at 51 Irving Place. Although this simple Early Romanesque Revival brick building has undergone many changes in use (carriage house, garage, restaurant, office, and residence), it still retains much of its original character. The Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing on the designation of this building in 1970, but no action was taken.
